Julianne, this is one of the reasons I decided to blog this publically. I wanted to be a resource for folks, and there are a number of us, going through the process (deciding yes or no, having the surgery, living with the surgery). I do note that there are a series of other related posts, detaling some of my surgery and post surgery experiences so far. But I don’t talk about everything. I will email you. You can ask what you like. I’ll answer most questions as best I can.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Originally I wasn’t entirely sure how much I wanted to share this. But it’s general information around the congregation (and the diocese). It has to be because it effects what I’m doing in both places. And I struggled enough with this decision, though I’m pretty comfortable about it now, that I thought there might be others out there working this through for themselves. Glad things worked for your aunt.

John, this is a big thing to share; God bless you for sharing it. My aunt had this surgery and it went well, though you are right that your meals will be tiny. It has been a good thing for her, and I hope and pray that it will be a good thing for you, too. May you feel the Lord’s presence and guidance throughout.
